Our Governors
The Local Governing Body
Local Governors are volunteers representing different aspects of the Academy community including parents/carers, staff and local people. Governors have an important role in school life focusing upon:
- Vision and values of the Academy
- Finance and resources
- Premises
- Academy performance
- Liaison with stakeholders
In addition there is a role to help put the wider Mukti Academy Trust’s vision, values and mission into practice in the context of the local Academy.
Governors help celebrate the successes of staff, pupils and parents and carers as a priority. They are also responsible for monitoring pupil outcomes, admissions, complaints and concerns, to help all involved with the Academy achieve their ambitions and deliver excellence.
The Governors welcome parents' feedback about the school. If you have any queries about the role of the Governors, or require further information, please contact the school office (office@blackthornsprimaryacademy.org.uk). The Chair of Governors (Bob Baker) can be also be contacted via the school office.
